Duties & Responsibilities

Use your interpersonal skills and turf expertise to interact with new clients while evaluating their property. Assess the property site
characteristics, cultural practices, turf evaluation, pest diagnosis and soil structure for the development of an agronomic plan for
the customer. Pull soil samples and use a moisture meter as required.

Fulfill quality control duties by making site visits to existing clients to perform site quality evaluations and provide diagnostic
services.

Perform customized granular and liquid fertilizer and pesticide applications on residential lawns as well as selected commercial and
municipal sites. Applications will be made utilizing a variety of methods with modernized, specialized equipment. Have daily
interaction with Client Account Manager to review software generated work orders for quality assurance. Perform basic
preventative maintenance and equipment calibration with Director of Agronomy to assure proper product distribution.

Requirements

Experience: Ideally, candidate shall possess at least one year in a similar position in an applicator role. Applicants who have
experience working in the landscape or farming industry or other paralleling disciplines are encouraged to apply. We may provide
training for applicants with limited or no experience.

Physical: Ability to frequently lift 50 or more pounds, stand or walk for 8 or more hours, bend, kneel and squat/crouch for long
durations. Twisting, pushing and pulling while using hand tools. Sitting as needed to operate trucks, tractors and other equipment
as needed. Ability to use mechanic’s tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches.

Driver’s License: Clean Motor Vehicle license with the ability to pass the required DOT physical.

Work Hours: Variable by season of the year. Generally, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm plus overtime as required. Weekend work is generally
limited, however, may be required due to weather-related delays or backups in scheduling.

Environmental and Safety Hazards: Work predominantly outdoors in all climate conditions, hot, cold, rain etc. Exposure to
equipment noise, dust and chemicals. Individual should be familiar with PPE. All applicable PPE shall be supplied by employer.

Knowledge needed: General knowledge of turf care, pests and soils is a plus, along with positive interpersonal skills. Basic ability to
perform mathematical calculations for rate calibrations. A mechanical aptitude is a plus, along with the ability to operate tractors,
aerators, sprayers, and a variety of other powered equipment.

Licenses: Possess or be able to obtain the following licenses: NJ Pesticide Operator or Applicator License and a NJ ProFACT Fertilizer
Applicator license. We will help the right candidate to acquire this licensing! All applicable licenses and continuing education
credits will be renewed annually at the employer’s expense thru the duration of employment.

Wage / Benefits: $23.00 / hr. or more to qualified candidate plus Health and Dental Insurance, PTO, paid holidays, Simple IRA, year-
